About Dr. Tomah
Dr. Tomah received his Naturopathic Doctor (ND) degree from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, a four-year program including over 1100 patient hours. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physiology from McGill University in Montreal.
Dr. Tomah has a passion for digestion, and believes that most disease begins in the gut. So whether you suffer from a gastrointestinal disease such as "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" (which is really just a label), or a systemic issue such as eczema, fatigue, or autoimmune disease, fixing the gut provides the foundation for good health. Along with digestion, proper sleep is one of the most essential aspects of our health. Deep sleep is the only time the body repairs and recovers, and sleep issues are tied to almost every single chronic disease. Dr. Tomah has combined his passion for health and his love of tennis to develop Total Health Tennis - a program that helps tennis players of all ages and skill levels improve their game on the court by optimizing their health off the court! Along with clinical practice, Dr. Tomah has experience in education. He has taught Physiology and Pathology at both the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Dr. Tomah is also the Medical Advisor for Vita Aid Professional Therapeutics, a Canadian nutraceutical company. When not working with patients, Dr. Tomah can be found spending time in nature with his wife and two sons, reading a good book, or on the tennis court! |
